Why JnA exists
Independent travellers usually do not lack information. They lack a clear way to decide what actually suits their trip.
How many usable days do you need? Where should you base yourself? Which route fits? Is another destination worth the extra transfer?
JnA exists to reduce the mental burden of independent travel planning—helping people see the decisions that actually matter, understand the consequences, and choose a trip that fits them.
Possible does not always mean suitable. A route can fit on a calendar and still leave too little room to enjoy the places along the way. JnA makes those trade-offs visible, so you can choose around your own time, priorities and circumstances.

JnA explains who a choice suits, what it depends on, and when the answer changes. Usable days, route and luggage friction, weather, reservations and family pacing belong in the decision.
A destination’s appeal alone does not determine whether it fits a particular trip.
What shapes our judgement
Real travel experience informs JnA’s judgement: the friction between stops, the pace of a day, luggage, accommodation, fatigue and the trade-offs that shape a trip.
Having visited a place does not, by itself, establish expertise or mean every itinerary, hotel or transport option in these guides was personally tested. Experience informs the judgement; current research, route reasoning and traveller fit remain necessary.
How guides are researched
Each guide starts with a practical travel decision. JnA compares the available choices, checks the facts that could change the recommendation, and explains the conditions behind the answer.
Official operator, attraction and destination information supports details such as transport, access and reservations. Usable sightseeing time, transfers, luggage and weather are considered together, so a choice can be judged in the context of the whole trip.
Schedules, prices and entry arrangements can change. Check the relevant provider before booking.
