Website delivery and security
We use OpenAI Sites and Cloudflare to deliver and protect this website. Page requests pass through these services and may include technical information such as your IP address, browser information and the page requested. These providers may process this information for delivery, security and service operation.
Cloudflare security-cookie use has been observed on this website, including the __cf_bm cookie used for bot protection. We do not set the providers’ retention periods or processing locations.
Remembering your place
We use session storage in your browser tab to remember guide results and your reading position when you return to them. This navigation feature stores information such as the results URL, the selected guide and scroll position locally in your browser. The normal page and search URLs still pass through our delivery services when you open them.
Optional language preference
Language-preference disclosure updated: 21 October 2026.
A language preference is saved only when you press Remember. Ordinary visits and language switching do not save or renew it. The record in this browser’s local storage contains a format version, the chosen language, and UTC save and expiry timestamps. It is separate from tab-local navigation storage.
The preference is used for up to exactly 30 elapsed days from saving. It offers a link to the corresponding page in your saved language; it does not override the language of an opened or shared link. The expiry is shown in local time with a numeric UTC offset, or in UTC if local formatting is unavailable.
After expiry the preference is no longer used. We attempt to delete expired or invalid records when browser storage can next be accessed. A record may remain while the browser is closed, until deletion succeeds or you clear this site’s data.
You can choose Don’t remember or reset at any time. This removes only the language-preference record, without changing the current page language or automatically saving it again. If deletion cannot be confirmed, this page stops using the preference and shows a warning that other tabs or later visits may still use it.
This preference is limited to this website in this browser profile. It is not synchronized across browsers or devices. Private browsing, browser settings or clearing site data may remove it sooner. Saving it does not enable analytics or advertising. Without JavaScript, language links still work but preference saving is unavailable.
Analytics and advertising
We have not currently installed site-authored visitor analytics or advertising trackers. This does not mean that our hosting and security providers keep no operational or security logs.
External platforms
Links to Trip.com and Xiaohongshu / RED take you to external services. Their own privacy practices apply when you visit or interact with them.
